The Salmon River Heritage Walking Tour is a series of monument stations and plaques, located throughout town, depicting the history and heritage of our community.
Take a trip back in time and discover the rich and colorful history of Riggins. Meet rugged pioneers, like the Clays and Irwins, first homesteading the barren rocky flat, and see the lasting legacy of their time.
Monument Locations:
Conveniently stationed adjacent to city sidewalks, most of the Heritage Tour monuments and plaques can be seen within an east one-mile walk. Descriptions below indicate on which side (East of West) of US Highway #95 the monuments are located and a prominent building or street to be used for reference. Monuments locations are also shown on the map.
