The regular meeting of the Riggins Urban Renewal Agency was called to order by Chairman and Board Member Robert Crump. Other Board Members present were Anderson, Barnard, Friend, Klobetanz and McClure.
The minutes were read and approved as read. The financial statement, and quarterly report was presented, showing a cash balance of $4727.69 as of June 30th.
After review of the financial statement, motion was made by Barnard, seconded by Anderson, to make the following disbursements: $1,000 plus interest to Browns Industries to pay the Water Study OPA; $500 plus interest to Browns Industries to pay the balance of the Plan OPA; and $2500 to the City for five months of Administration at $500 each, paying those costs thru July 2007. Voting yea, Anderson, Barnard, Crump, Friend, Klobetanz and McClure. No nays.
Chairman Crump reported on the White Water Park presentation made by Recreation Engineers and Planners (REP). The site visit and meeting presentation were well attended, with REP explaining the WWP structures and showing a slide show of completed installations. They stressed that the WWP will increase fishing holes, stabilize the river bank, will not create any flooding and must not disturb the invertebrate in the river. They envisioned six to ten structures in the river, with two required for each drop hole.
Crump also indicated that he had given a report on the White Water Park proposal at the Idaho Economic Advisory Council meeting held recently in Riggins. There is quite a bit of interest in these facilities, as they are also being constructed in Boise and Cascade.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:48pm.
