The regular meeting of the Riggins URA was called to order by Board Member and Chairman Robert Crump. Other Board Members present were Tom Anderson, Larry Barnard, Carolyn Friend, Glenna McClure and Norm Klobetanz.
The minutes were presented and members individually polled, all confirming they had read the minutes. Since there were no additions or corrections offered, the minutes were approved as presented.
The financial statement was presented showing no revenue received or disbursements made during March, leaving a 3-31-09 balance of $1534.06. After review, motion was made by Barnard, seconded by Anderson, to approve the financial statement as presented. Voting yea, Anderson, Barnard, Crump, Friend, Klobetanz, and McClure. No nays.
After review of the financial statement that indicated that no dibursements had been made in March, motion was made by Crump, seconded by Barnard to rescind the motion made during the March meeting to pay $1250 plus interest to Browns Industries. Voting yea, Anderson Barnard, Crump, Friend, McClure and Klobetanz. No nays. Motion was then made by Crump, seconded by Klobetanz, to pay $300 March-April administration costs to the City, retain $300 for the May and June Administration costs, and to pay $600 plus interest towards Browns Industries OPA for WhiteWater Park Study grant match. Voting yea, Anderson, Barnard, Crump, Klobetanz, Friend and McClure. No nays.
Chairman Crump reported on the WhiteWater Park meeting held April 9th. It was an informative meeting, with about 50 persons attending from various agencies, businesses and civic groups. The group appeared to be very positive about the proposed project. An additional meeting will be held Tuesday, April 14 at 5:00pm, with Dept of Water Resources and Army Corps of Engineers. URA members were urged to attend. Crump also reported that the Request for Proposals for WWP engineers had been advertised, with proposals accepted until 4/13/09. The City Council will be reviewing the proposals later this evening during the regular City Council meeting.
