  RIGGINS URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY

January 13, 2015 – 6:30 p.m.

City Hall

The regular meeting of the Riggins Urban Renewal Agency was called to order by Board Chairperson Glenna McClure.  Other Board members present were Carolyn Friend, Jonny Wilson, Roy Akins and Gary Miller.  Board Member, Matt Sinclair, was absent.  The minutes of the previous meeting were presented and members individually polled, all agreeing they had reviewed the minutes.   

FINANCIAL STATEMENT:  The financial statement was read detailing the 09/30/14 cash balance of $5,439.19, with $563.40 in receipts, and $3,275.00 in disbursements, leaving cash balance of $2,727.59 as of 12/31/14.  Cash in Sewer Obligation Reserve showed a beginning balance of $8,507.65; interest of $3.41, a deposit of $3,000.00, leaving an ending balance of $11,511.06.  Friend made a motion to approve the previous meeting minutes and the Financial Statement; seconded by Miller; voting yea McClure, Friend, Wilson, Miller and Akins.  No nays, motion carried.

DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS:  At this time, motion was made by Akins to contribute $2,000.00 to the Sewer Obligation Reserve; to pay $225 for January through March 2015 Administration leaving a balance of $502.59 in the checking account.  Motion was seconded by Wilson; voting yea, McClure, Friend, Wilson, Akins and Miller.  No nays, motion carried. 

NEW BUSINESS

LEGISLATION:  Chairperson McClure advised the Board that the Legislature will be addressing Urban Renewal reform again this session.  She will be keeping a close eye on the topic and will share information with the Board.

RE-APPOINTMENTS:  Carolyn Friend was reappointed to the Board for another four-year term.

CLONINGER’S:  Chairperson McClure will be drafting a letter to the owner of Cloninger’s empty lot to reiterate the City’s support and to offer assistance with development of the lot.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
