AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIGGINS, IDAHO, AMENDING SECTION 1. B (2), OF ORDINANCE NO. 121; PROVIDING AN INCREASE IN SEWER CONNECTION FEES, PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES, AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE ORDINANCE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIGGINS, IDAHO:

ONE:  That Section 1.B (2) of Ordinance No. 121 of the City of Riggins, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:

             Section 1:

             B.   CONNECTION CHARGES:  Upon application for the City Water-Sewer Permit, an installation or connection fee shall be paid, according to the following schedule:

                 (2)    Sewer Connection Fees: Sewer connection fees shall be based upon the classification and use indicated on the Sewer Permit Application, as applied to the established Equivalent Use (EU) Schedule.  Any change, addition, or alteration of use shall also be subject to the review and fee established by said EU schedule.  If the use change reduces the scope of the established operation of any property, no refund of connection fees will be made.

                        The Sewer Connection Fee shall be $2,500.00 per each EU assessed, plus all costs incurred by the City in the connection of the line to the City’s system. If a single property has more than one classification or use, the connection fee shall be based on the sum of all the EU’s assessed. If a specific use is not covered by the EU schedule, the City Council shall determine the EU’s to be assessed; and such assessment shall be added to the Equivalent Use Schedule by passage of a City Resolution.

TWO:  All ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and that the remainder of said ordinance shall remain in full force and effect and is hereby ratified in all respects.

THREE:  This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval and publication in the Idaho County Free Press.
