Notice of Public Hearing

On the Status of Proposed Activities

 

The City of Riggins is submitting a proposal to the Idaho Department of Commerce for an Idaho Community Development Grant (ICDBG) in the amount of $500,000.  The proposed City Sewer Improvement Project will involve upgrades to the headworks, dewatering system, clarifier, and aeration systems of the City’s sewer treatment plant. 

 

The hearing will include a discussion of the application, scope of work, budget, schedule, benefits of the project, how ICDBG funds will benefit low and moderate income persons, and the location of proposed project.  The application, related documents, and ICDBG Application Handbook will be available for review.

 

The hearing has been scheduled for Monday, November 12, 2007, 7 pm, Riggins City Hall, Riggins, Idaho.  Verbal and written comments will be accepted until five (5) twenty four (24) hour days after the hearing.

 

The hearing will be held in a facility that is accessible to persons with disabilities.  Special accommodation will be available, upon request, five (5) days prior to the hearing in a format that is usable to person with disabilities.  For more information, contact Riggins City Clerk June Whitten at (208)628-3394.
