RIGGINS CITY COUNCIL

July 18, 2018 – 9:00 a.m.

This special meeting of the Riggins City Council was called to order by Mayor Glenna McClure.  Councilors present were Wilson, Miller, and Friend.  Councilor Akins was absent.

The purpose of the special meeting was to review the FY2018-2019 budget proposal, make any adjustments, and tentatively approve the proposed budget for publication prior to the Public Hearing scheduled for Wednesday, August 8th at 6:15 p.m.

Adjustments discussed:

Sewer Bond Payment – include extra principal payment of approximately $32,000 out of Resort Tax Revenue.

Fire – remove radios ($500); already purchased.

Lighting Replacement Project – check on the Park; project completed in past?

Park – add $12,000 in Repair and Maintenance for improvements to sprinkler system.

With the above adjustments, the FY18-19 Budget will be $5,304,250. 

General Government (including Heritage Center and Riggins Community Center): $297,689

Fire Department: $423,363

Dive Team: $30,420

Ambulance: $200,705

Streets: $466,085

Library: $33,024

Park: $240,425

Water: $911,175

Sewer: $2,553,764

Sanitation: $147,600

Motion was made by Friend to tentatively approve the budget for publication; seconded by Miller.  Voting yea, Friend, Miller and Wilson.  No nays; motion carried.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
