SPECIAL MEETING

December 23, 2016 – 2:30 p.m.

City Hall

 

This Special meeting of the Riggins City Council was called to order by Mayor McClure via phone.  Councilors present were Miller, Wilson, and Friend.  Councilor Akins was absent.

The purpose of this Special meeting was to approve Summary Ordinance 220 for publication in the Idaho County Free Press, and to consider another deer management program to remove a number of town deer.

ORDINANCE #220 – SUMMARY:  Council reviewed the Summary of Ordinance #220 required to publish the new ordinance.  Motion was made by Friend to approve the Summary for publication in the Idaho County Free Press; seconded by Wilson.  Voting yea, Wilson, Friend and Miller.  No nays; motion carried.

DEER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM:  Councilor Miller suggested the City institute another depredation program to eliminate a number of town deer as has been done in past years.  Councilor Miller will request the permits from Fish & Game; it was noted that all meat will be donated to needy folks in the area.  Motion was made by Friend to institute the depredation program; seconded by Wilson.  Voting yea, Wilson, Miller and Friend.  No nays; motion carried.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:40 p.m.
