hearing notice is hereby given that the City Council of Riggins, Idaho, will hold a public hearing for consideration of an amendment to the 2006 fiscal year budget by appropriating additional monies received by the City of Riggins, said hearing to be held at City Hall, at 7:00 pm, on the 12th day of June, 2006. STREET
FUND:
The
additional sum of $6,690 to be appropriated from a State of Idaho Local Rural
Highway Investment Program Grant to be used for a sign replacement project. At
said hearing any interested person may appear and show cause, if any he has, why
such proposed appropriations ordinance amendment should or should not be
adopted.

Whitten, City Clerk-Treasurer Notice of Public Hearing on New and Increased Fees The City of Riggins is proposing to create new fees, beginning July 1, 2006, for (1) services performed by the Riggins Dive Team, billed per incident, (2) services performed by the Riggins Fire Department, billed per incident, and (3) a fee to insure Utility Hookup preservation, to be billed monthly. An increase in Water and Sewer Hookup Fees are also being proposed. The new fees and increased fees are detailed below: RIGGINS DIVE TEAM: The new fees proposed in connection with the Riggins Dive Team services are to fund the cost of administration, operation and maintenance of the Department’s rescue and recovery activities. Proposed Fees, to be billed per incident, are as follows: Base Rate: $25.00 City Residents $50.00 Area Residents (Boulder Creek-Slate Creek) $75.00 Out of Area Residents Mileage: $ 5.00 per mile, each way Diver: $100.00 Per Hour, 2 Diver Minimum Shore Support $50.00 Per Hour, Per Person FIRE DEPARTMENT: The new fees proposed in connection with the Riggins Fire Department are to fund the cost of training, equipment, maintenance and operation. Proposed fees, to be billed per incident, are as follows: $100.00 Per Hour, Per Truck Responding $ 50.00 Per Hour, Per Fireman Responding Total of $500.00 Maximum Charge per Incident UNUSED UTILITY HOOKUPS: The new fees proposed in connection with Utility Hookups are to create and establish accounts and to track and monitor (1) all approved, but unconnected or unused, sewer hookups; and (2) all unconnected water hookups. Proposed Fees are as follows: SEWER (1) $5.00 per month, per EU approved (2) $1.00 per month, per EU approved, for those utility hookups made in connection with approved subdivisions or previously approved written easements or agreements WATER (1) $5.00 per month, per approved connection (2) $1.00 per month, per connection, for those utility hookups made in connection with approved subdivisions or previously approved written easements or agreements WATER & SEWER HOOKUP FEE INCREASE: The City is also proposing to increase Water and Sewer Hookup Fees by amounts that exceed on hundred and five percent (105%) of the respective fees from the current fiscal year. Hookup fees, which are proposed to be effective July 1, 2006 are as follows:
